Coach Cj Brewer is the current coach for Wilson High School’s Boys Cross Country since 2013, Boys Soccer since 2017, along with coaching Long Distance Track. A native of Long Beach, Coach Cj is a Wilson Alumni.

Coach Cj is currently pursuing his dream of becoming a firefighter, which has been his dream job since he was little. He played soccer and cross country as a child and continued to run track for California State University, Los Angeles. Joining the Wilson family felt just right. “When I was done being a player, I felt like something was missing,” said Coach Cj.

Drawing on eight years of experience in coaching, Coach Cj focuses on helping his players achieve their full potential, through teamwork and hard work. He is a big believer in setting his athletes up for success, whether that is on or off the field.

By Wilson athletes, Coach Cj is described as energetic and prideful. Senior Jordan Guzman has played for Wilson’s soccer program since his sophomore year. “He helps players achieve their goals by providing constructive criticism and by encouraging them to give it 100% every time they are on the field, whether it’s for practice or a game,” said Guzman.

Thank you, Coach Cj, for your many years of commitment to Wilson High School and the athletes. Wilson looks forward to many more years of Moore League and CIF championships, best of luck this season. Go, Bruins!
