Wilson High School’s show produced by the Theatre program performed a storytelling of the Grimms Brothers. The night had an ongoing, exciting atmosphere. The cast was able to keep the audience alive with the amount of fun interaction and humor involved. Members of the production have been a part of the program since their Freshman year and have been growing ever since making it quite the night to remember for the class of 2024.
In the beginning of Act One to the end of Act Two, the students managed to keep the show entertaining and maintain interest. The audience enjoyed contributing with the Narrators who had been telling joking remarks.
Senior Ethan Bartee, who is in the Performing Arts Pathway, shared his experience and involvement in the play. “I have been in this program for three years straight and have enjoyed every moment,” he claimed. Bartee also mentions the benefits of contributing in theater. “You learn so much and personally, [it has] helped me with the skill of public speaking, which got me the part of being the Narrator on this play.”
During intermission, members of the cast gave their input after Act 2 and shared their feedback on the show. “This play includes a series of fairy tales, which makes the show so wholesome. I love being a part of an amazing community where everyone is welcome,” said Zachary Kosal, a junior in the Performing Arts Pathway.
Julian Alcaraz, shared his roles regarding the play, “I play multiple characters such as the Prince to Snow White, Prince to Cinderella, Wolf, and Hansel.” He also explained his favorite character he gets to act as, “My favorite character is probably Snow White’s Prince because I get to be very charming and it is a fun role overall.”
Wilson’s Theater program is meant to encourage students’ passions and to influence the school with a friendly atmosphere.
