LONG BEACH, CA- The Bruins started the night with a Frosh-Soph win, leading into a hard fought win by varsity, ending with JV blowing the Jackrabbits out the water.
Tensions were high when the varsity teams took each other on with both sides knowing the win was only a couple goals away.
This was stressful for both sides, Senior Ace Dunmont hopes the team works on “calming down in stressful and high pressure situations.” Although the team can work on calming down in stressful situations, Dunmont also said they did well when they were wrapping up the game and leaving “everything in the pool.”
Senior Wyatt Mitchell also praised his team for improving on their defense since playing Millikan by saying “… holding a team like that to ten goals is an improvement from last game.” Mitchell spoke about hoping to improve their defense when the Bruins played Millikan, this time he said he hopes they improve on their structure while also saying “our counter attack and our speed was really good”.
The regular season is over and the Bruins are entering their first CIF game at their home pool. Everyone hopes to win it all this year and end the season with a bang as they play their first game on Nov. 1st.
