Senior Activities are back, but are they better than ever? Yesterday we had our first true Senior event of the year. The Senior Sunset Picnic on the quad was an absolute hit with 350 people coming to ring in the end of the year. Valedictorian Genivive Perez said, “ it did feel nice to be able to see people that I haven’t been in contact with for a while”. Overall the mood was lifted by this first Senior event, and Genevieve Perez expects she and many others will continue to go to the rest of the year’s activities.
College Week is May 10th-14th. During this week Seniors can wear shirts and sweatshirts repping the college they got into or wish they got into. The athletics department will also be celebrating all our student-athletes continuing to play their sport in college.
Senior Scavenger Hunt & Movie Night takes place Friday, May 14th. Seniors will be able to follow clues from a starting location and end up at Wilson just in time for a movie night at 7:30 P.M. More details about the scavenger hunt will be coming as we approach May 14th.
During the week of May 24th, Senior Mugs will be distributed to the Senior class. During this week Seniors will be able to get a “sweet treat”, likely being hot chocolate. You may still purchase a Mug for $20 through a link provided in a Canvas email.
Saturday, June 12th from 7-10 P.M. in the Wilson Quad, Senior Celebration will take place. Seniors will walk down a red carpet onto campus to celebrate the last Saturday night of our Senior year. Partake in karaoke, photo booths, music, games, and much more. The price of admission is $10 as of writing but will increase on May 25.
Now for the big reveal. We are having an in-person graduation! Mrs. Fekjar said, “Our 94th Graduation Commencement Ceremony will be held at Long Beach City College Veteran’s Stadium on Monday, June 14th at 5 P.M. All graduating Seniors will receive SIX tickets. There are no extra tickets available. Parking is $10.” We have no further information but expect this article to be updated as more comes.
